Pilates

Pilates is a full body integrated Fitness concept that was created in the early 20th century by Joseph Pilates. He originally called his training concept “Contrology”.

The goal is to work in synergy with your body and mind. The main focus though lies on the strengthening of the deep torso muscles- your Core. Your core muscles are responsible for your posture, your stability and your body awareness.
Pilates uses correct alignment, centering, concentration, control, precision, breathing, and flowing movement (the Pilates principles) to establish a perfect working body from the inside out.

More and more often Pilates will be used in Rehabilitation as well, due to the balanced combination of flexibility and strength created in a Pilates session.

Pilates is good for anybody – no matter if you just want to improve your fitness, strength and mobility or if you suffer from pains and injuries or have postural problems. Dancers or professional athletes of any sport will benefit from the Pilates Method.

Using the Pilates machines allows us to tailor the training to 100% to the needs of our clients. Therefore even the training in small groups is still very individually designed for every single client, no matter which age or fitnesslevel.
